Negotiation interpreters

The interpretation of negotiations ensures informal comprehension for small groups of people without simultaneous or consecutive interpreting techniques. This is our main area of operations in that it requires the presence of our most qualified partners in all of those situations where there is a small group of participants who speak different languages: company meetings, business negotiations, trade fairs, accompanying foreign delegations visiting plants, factories and job sites, technical training (for example when a foreign engineer must operate on specific systems or train personnel on the use of certain machinery or explain a particular technology).

For simultaneous interpreting the hall must be equipped with a booth for each language combination (e.g. Italian into English and vice versa). The booth must be ISO 2603 compliant in the event of fixed systems and ISO 4043 compliant in the event of mobile systems. There must be at least two interpreters in each booth. A simultaneous interpreter has a 7 hour work day. If more you expect to exceed 7 hours a third interpreter must be called in order to allow adequate breaks for each interpreter. Services with only one interpreter in the booth are permitted only for a duration of one hour. The work day cannot be split up. To record the translation authorisation from the interpreters must be requested ahead of time. If authorisation is granted the interpreter requires a 40% surcharge over the amount agreed upon for the service.

For consecutive interpreting the work day is 7 hours long with two interpreters for each language combination (e.g. Italian into English and vice versa). If more you expect to exceed 7 hours another interpreter must be called in order to allow adequate breaks for each interpreter. Services with only one interpreter are permitted for a maximum period of two hours for each language combination. The work day cannot be split up.

Chuchotage interpreting is a translation carried out by whispering the essential concepts of what is being said in the presence of a maximum of two users. Services with only one interpreter are permitted for a maximum of two hours for each language combination (e.g. Italian into English and vice versa) with alternating interventions.
